This Eric Steckel model guitar is a rather special one. And this one in particular is one of only three with a Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. On his recent Australian tour, Eric Steckel met a collector (Paul) with an extensive collection of Vintage guitars who became a huge fan of Eric and his ES Signature models. Among the Paul's collection is a 60s Vintage Cherry Burst he named ‘Candy’. The guitar has a 60s body with a 59 neck, which was replaced shortly after the original buyer got the guitar in 1960 due to neck breakage. After hanging out and getting to know each other, Paul asked Eric if we may be interested in making replicas of Candy but in a Knaggs ES Kenai.

A special run of 11 ES Kenai T/S', cosmetically replicating Candy including custom wound pick-ups by Seymour Duncan and his long-time associate MJ with the exact pick-up measures of its 60s PAF, hand built by Joe and the team with special, matching relic’ing done with Lukas Fronzoli. Truss rod cover says Candy. They are numbered with 1-11 & Candy on back of head stock and signed by Joe. Eric has signed the backplate.
