The Classic Pro R is the 6V6 / 6L6 powered amplifier Bad Cat enthusiasts have been requesting for years. This blackface beauty has that vintage California tone first introduced during the mid ’60s with the added headroom and refined response offered by the company’s custom hand-wound transformers, premium components and improved signal paths.

The Classic Pro amplifier offers big headroom, beautiful string-to-string note definition, incredibly smooth break-up and musically rich harmonics. This plethora of American tones can cover everything from big cleans to smooth breakup and the company’s patented K-Master circuit allows every possible tone to be produced at any volume level desired. The Classic Pro features dual K-Master controls that can be selected via the included footswitch to choose between rhythm and solo levels. This amp ships with 6V6s for 20 watts of power, but will run at 35 watts with 6L6 tubes and a quick bias adjustment.

Reverb
Bad Cat uses a unique way to make the reverb sit perfectly in the mix without ever overpowering the instrument or stealing tone from the preamp. This approach produces studio-grade reverb right through your loudspeaker.

Daul Patented K Master
The K Master is the first true innovation in master volume technology in years. Players who have experienced it know that power amp gain is different than pre-amp gain. It feels and sounds different. Often time what players associate with “power amp” distortion is really the sound of the phase inverter tube getting crushed by the output of the preamp section. To this point, master volumes have always been passive attenuators. Until now, most master volumes were unable to do anything but attenuate before or after the phase inverter tube. The drive to the power section after the phase inverter was always dependent on the drive coming from the pre-amp.

The K Master works differently. The master works as an independent amplifier circuit which sits post phase inverter, independently controlling the power to the power tubes while keeping the tone and sound of the preamp even as it overdrives the phase inverter intact.
