Why should you and your child learn to play an instrument?
From the time I was about 10 years old I was playing music. Some of my best friends are people I met through high school band, music programs and playing around town. But there are plenty of reasons why everyone should learn to play an instrument or perform.

Studies have shown that students who get musical training sometimes do better in other subjects like math and science.

Music in an orchestra, band or choir champions the same team skills as sports.

Adults with Alzheimers disease have been shown to learn new skills and thought processes when using music as a training tool.

Music enhances expression. Music, like art, is a way to express your feelings and emotions. It can relieve stress and help depression.

Life is good, Music makes it better!
